Singing Week

Our summer adventures

Every summer during late July or early August we spend a week together singing and having fun. Normally this involves being “choir-in-residence” at a British cathedral; although occasionally we use part of the week to make a recording of the choir.

In 2025 we made a recording of settings of the poems of Henry Vaughan, based in St Michael’s Church, Tenbury Wells and Llansantffraed Church near Talybont-on-Usk, before heading to Brecon Cathedral to sing the services there for the weekend. More details of this project can be found in the recordings section.

In recent years we have sung in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, Worcester Cathedral, Derby Cathedral and Durham Cathedral. In 2026 we will be choir-in-residence during the first week of August in Hereford Cathedral and in 2027 we will be heading to Cornwall to sing in Truro Cathedral.

The week always involves our younger members of the choir undertaking a range of fun activities such as Laser-tag, 10-pin bowling, swimming, visiting museums and even driving go-karts……never a dull moment. here are a few photos from previous adventures.
